After 18 amazing years leading the Clarion Hotel in Anaheim, CA, GM Naomi Diggs has accepted a new role with us as Area GM, where she will continue to lead her hotel but will also have oversight of Sandpiper’s Comfort Inn by the Bay in downtown San Francisco. We congratulate Naomi on her many achievements and are excited to support her in this new endeavor!

Sandpiper Hospitality has been awarded the management contract for the new and soon-to-open Extended Stay America Premiere Suites in Denver, CO at the Denver International Airport. We are delighted to engage in yet another fabulous ESA Premier Suites to complement our others in Sparks, NV, Fort Myers, FL and Bradenton, FL.

Paige Derdevanis has been appointed as Sandpiper Hospitality's new Vice President of Human Resources. In this pivotal role, she will guide the company's ongoing mission to create a rewarding environment for associates and ensure valuable results for clients. Background and Experience A native of Richmond, Paige attended Virginia Commonwealth University and has established a distinguished career in Human Resources within her hometown. Leadership and Responsibilities Paige will lead a skilled and experienced Human Resources team, supporting over 70 hotels and more than 1,000 associates across the organization. Leadership Qualities President & CEO Jim Darter shared, "Paige was described as a dynamo by someone who knew her well, and I have to agree. Everyone in our organization has been captivated by her positive energy and clear, logical approach to leading our employment culture and its impact on our hospitality business."

Tom Custo has been promoted to Vice President of Operations after 2.5 years with Sandpiper Hospitality as Regional Manager, Regional Vice President and Senior Regional Vice President. Tom has assumed operational responsibility for all of the company's hotels across 15 brands and 18 states. Tom’s journey in hospitality began over 23 years ago. He has worked for companies like Columbia Sussex, Crescent and Interstate/Aimbridge, representing various brands like Marriott, Hilton and IHG. His journey has taken him through different roles covering all aspects of hotel operations, and this eventually led to an opportunity to oversee a region consisting of various Marriott branded hotels like Courtyard, Westin and Renaissance. Tom’s experience has made him well-versed in maximizing hotel efficiency without sacrificing service. Ultimately, he believes your success is tied to your ability to motivate the people around you to maximize their potential. According to the company's President & CEO, Jim Darter, "Tom has been a tremendous contributor from the day he joined us, and I expect he will do big things for us for years to come. We are fortunate to have him on our team and are equally excited to see all that he and his team will accomplish for our clients, guests and associates."

Today, Sandpiper Hospitality added three new hotels to its impressive and expanding portfolio. The new Everhome Suites hotels come thanks to our partners at Choice Hotels International and Highside Companies who have a vast, burgeoning Everhome Suites portfolio, six of which are led by Sandpiper Hospitality. Our new hotels are in Boise/Nampa, ID, Rochester, NY and Fayetteville, NC. We'd like to thank all the people that have made this possible and who helped the hotels and their terrific teams come aboard this week. In particular, Daniel Bustos, Joseph Chrien, Ken Richardson, CRME and Tom Custo. This hotel will open early next week in the booming Sterling / Dulles Airport area of Northern Virginia. This will be our 4th open ECHO Suites Extended Stay Hotel by Wyndham. Thanks to the entire development, activation and operating teams that have given it all to get this amazing property open and flying high soon!

Our incredible team opened the fabulous new ECHO Suites in Reno NV, our 3rd hotel in the market and our 3rd ECHO Suites opening.
